Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!!! It feels good.

Built my first fire of the year and it feels wonderful. I know we will not run out of wood this year, thanks to Gustave and maybe next year too. It was great to go through the summer without any real storms. Hope the trend continues.

I keep working. Peter Anderson, in Ocean Springs turned out to be a great show with wonderful weather.

My next outing will be at the Broadmoor Arts and Crafts show at Broadmoor Highschool in Baton Rouge this Friday 3 - 9, and Saturday 9 - 4.

Hope to see you there.

After that I have only 3 more shows this year:

New Orleans art market, Palmer Park, Nov 28

Open House at Sherry Lutz, Dec 6

New Orleans art market Dec 20

Cooler weather at last

Something about the first cool snap puts me in the mood to work and look forward to shows in the fall. Not that I don't do shows in the summer, I just don't look forward to them like the lower humidity, cooler temp days we {hopefully} have when it's time for the fall shows

I've been working and hope to have some new designs for everyone to see and still some of my old favorites to show.

I know I haven't updated my calendar recently, so I'll do it here:

This weekend coming up: Oct. 24 - 25. will be the Yellow Leaf festival in St Francisville, La.

The next weekend: Oct. 31 (Sat only) will be the New Orleans art market in palmer park

on Carrollton st.

The NEXT WEEKEND; Nov 7 - 8 I will be at the Peter Anderson Festival in downtown Ocean Springs.

Hope to see you there. I'll try to post some pictures of new work along as I get it done

Off I go to Canton

Well, it's that time of year. I really should have spent the last few months working, getting prepared for my upcoming shows.
Instead I've been doing something much more fun, playing with my grandchildren. Meet Garret Dane, my newest grandchild. He is being held by his best cousin, and my oldest grandchild Noah.
This summer has been extremely hectic and wonderfully fun.
But, it's time to get down to business and work. All play and no work make Carnie a very broke girl. hahah
For any of you who are waiting on me, don't worry, I'm getting back on the horse and working regularly. The Iris pattern is in the works, as is the older panel repair.
Tomorrow I am leaving for the Canton Flea Market which is held the second thursday of every October and May. It starts about daylight, hope to see you there.

On the next Saturday and Sunday will be Festival Acadians in Gerard Park. There will be cajun music, lots of food and plenty of artist. It's always a fun show. Hope to see you there as well.
I wish you a good week and weekend, and I hope you wish one for me.
See you soon,
Carnie

Summertime

Hello Everyone, Hope you are all having a wonderful summer.

I know I should be working, but we just couldn't resist a trip to the Keys for our 30th anniversary. The view from the Sunset Pier in Key West was amazing. We had a fantastic time.

Well, back to reality. Don't melt in this heat and hope to see you soon. My next two shows will be the New Orleans art market in Palmer Park the last Saturday of July and August.
At least I hope to see you in July, I'm about to be Gramma again just about that time, so I'll let you all know. Bye for now.

Back to work I go.

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. You can see that I haven't exactly been in the studio working as I should. We had a wonderful trip skiing and then exploring down New Mexico and across Texas, but now I'm frantically trying to get back to work, work, work.

I have 4 upcoming shows "this is where the frantic comes in".
The first will be "Festival International " in Lafayette this next Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The weather is supposed to be great.

Next is "Fest for All" in Downtown Baton Rouge the 1'st weekend in May. We are in the little park in front of the Shaw Center and my booth # is 14.
After that, I will be in Canton, Ms. at the Canton Market on the 14th of May. I'm booth #106 on the courthouse square.
Finally, to finish out May, I will be at the New Orleans Art Market in Palmer park the last Saturday of the month
Have a great spring and hope to see you soon.

Wishing for Spring

Spring can't come soon enough. Although I enjoy cold weather in moderation, my favorite time of the year is spring. My flower beds are calling me, the day's are getting longer and I can "hopefully" begin to get more done. I haven't kept up with my blog very well this winter, so ideally that will change as well.

I have lots and lots of shows coming up this spring and summer, so it's time for me to get back into the swing of things.

Around here a few new things have been happening as well. My grandson, was a Mardi-Gras pirate in his pirate ship wagon float for the preschool Mardi-Gras parade. Cutest thing you've ever seen.

Also some nasty person threw out a poor little stray kitten at the end of my road. Now she lives with me in the studio, with Fuzzells the persian(who she likes) , and Max the Jack Russell (who she REALLY doesn't). They are all just going to have to work it out, without leaving any more teeth marks in me. By the way, my hand is healing very nicely.

My next show will be this Saturday, Feb 28, in Palmer Park, in New Orleans

Hope to all see you there.

Carnie
